God Made Everything
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Before there was anything at all, there was God.
No sky. No sea. No trees, no birds, no puppies, no you. Just God.
Then God spoke, and there was light. He spoke again, and there was sky and water. He kept going: mountains, rivers, apple trees, whales, ladybugs, and stars too many to count.
Look out of the window tonight. Everything you can see was somebody’s idea first. The color of the grass. The shape of the moon. The sound rain makes on a roof. God thought of every one of them.
And when he had finished, he was happy with it. He looked at the whole world and said that it was good.
