Terms of Use
How HeartFelt Kids works, what it gives you, and what you are welcome to do with it. Written plainly, because a page nobody reads protects nobody.
What This Page Is
This is a plain description of how HeartFelt Kids works, written by the person who built it. Everything on it describes something the software actually does and can be checked against the site.
It is not legal advice and it is not a finished contract. Formal terms are being prepared by somebody qualified to write them, and when they arrive they will be added to the foot of this page. We would rather tell you that than leave a page here that only looks official.
What HeartFelt Kids Gives You
Original children's music, Bible stories, read aloud stories, activities, printable pages, and learning programs, published by Heart-Felt Publishing.
It is free. There is no paid version, no subscription, and no advertising. Nothing on the site can be bought, because there is no shop and nothing in the software that could take a payment.
There are no accounts. You cannot sign up, and neither can your child, because there is nothing to sign up to. Nobody has a profile here. What the learning programs remember is kept by your own browser, and clearing your browser clears it.
The media is ours and plays here. Songs, videos, and stories are served from our own storage and play in our own player. Nothing is embedded from an outside video site, so a child is never handed on to somebody else's recommendations.
It changes. Songs, stories, and learning programs are added and edited regularly. We do not promise the site will always be available, and we cannot promise a particular page will still be here next year.
What You Are Welcome to Do
This is what the site is built for. Teachers and church groups especially: please use it.
- Listen, read, and play, at home or in a classroom, as much as you like.
- Print the printable pages and use them with a class, a Sunday school, or a group.
- Save a picture your child coloured in on screen. It downloads to your own device.
- Link to any page on HeartFelt Kids, and tell anybody you like about it.
What Belongs to Heart-Felt Publishing
The songs, recordings, stories, artwork, and words on HeartFelt Kids belong to Rick LaMarche and Heart-Felt Publishing. The music is a one stop catalogue registered with ASCAP.
Using it with your own family, class, or group is what it is for. Republishing it somewhere else, selling it, or charging people for access to it is not, and the site offers no way to do any of those things.
If you would like to use HeartFelt Kids material in a way this page does not cover, write and ask. The answer is often yes.
Children, and What Nobody Can Put Here
HeartFelt Kids is made for children of about four to eight, with a grown up nearby. There is nothing on it for a child to post, upload, or comment on, and no way for one visitor to send a message to another. That is deliberate and it is why there is nothing here to moderate.
What the site does and does not keep is set out in full on the Privacy page, including the two learning programs where a grown up saves a home address or a phone number on their own device.
