God Loved the World
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son.
This is one of the most famous sentences in the whole Bible, and it is short enough to learn tonight.
God loved the world. Not only the good days and the nice parts. The whole world, and everybody in it.
He loved it so much that he gave the very best thing he had, his own Son, Jesus.
When we love somebody, we give them something. A drawing. A hug. The last cookie on the plate. That is how you can tell love is real. It gives something away.
God gave first, long before any of us thought to love him back.
