Psalm 23:1
The Lord Is My Shepherd
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing.
A shepherd looks after sheep.
He counts them in the evening. He finds the grass and the water. When one of them wanders off, he goes out and looks for it, in the dark, in the rain, until he finds it and carries it home.
Sheep are not clever animals. They wander off all the time. The shepherd goes after them anyway.
When the Bible says the LORD is my shepherd, that is what it means. God looks after you like that. Counting. Feeding. Coming out to find you.
You will never be the one he forgets.

Thank you, God, for looking after me the way a shepherd looks after his sheep. Thank you that you always come and find me. Amen.
