Psalm 119:105
A Lamp for My Feet
Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.
Imagine walking down a path at night carrying a small lamp.
The lamp does not light up the whole path. You cannot see where you will be in an hour. You can see the next step, and then the one after that.
That turns out to be enough. You keep walking, and the light keeps moving along with you.
The Bible is like that lamp. It does not tell you what will happen next year. It tells you what to do next: be kind, tell the truth, forgive, keep going.
You do not need to see the whole path tonight. You only need enough light for the next step.
Something to talk about: What is the next step for you tomorrow?
